So, I finished Mawang at 2 am this morning. Through the whole show, `bias bias bias ` echo wouldn`t leave me. What can I do? I love people with legs that stretch forever (though he sure is creepy).

It`s the former police officer who works in Seung Ha`s office – whose words I agreed the most, it`s too bad everything happened when they`re still so so young.

I kinda like the ending, though none of them had the right to make Hae In feel sad like that T_T

For the moralities part, I`m speechless. It doesn`t help that Seung Ha actually gave his victims choices. No one told the journalist to blackmail Oh Soo`s father, no one told Oh Soo`s friend (can`t remember his name) to blackmail Suk Jin (being a bastard is one thing, but blackmailing your friend who had helped you a lot, is just plain evil), etc etc.

 

But of course, there are things he did have responsibility for, like asking that stuttering person to help, and framed Sol Ae`s mom, and told that truck driver to hit the journalist,  and haven`t kissed Hae In yet though he had 20 eps.

 

Yet, when I tried to think like this :

If someone killed my sister (accidentally or not) and getaway from any punishment by saying impossible things like my sister bullied her, except that if it`s my sister, she might, thus making herself the victim, and then my parents died due to stress, left me all alone (let`s pretend I don`t have one annoying brother), and then that bitch living a normal life, graduated and say, became a police officer, or a lawyer , or a judge, how would I feel?

Honestly, it won`t finish before I put that person through a living hell. And destroying every single thing she loves. It`s only natural. While won`t be able to forgive myself afterwards.

 

At the last episode, I was praying for a miracle and `can`t they made some sort of magical Korean-ish ending, like Seung Ha is hit by a car and had amnesia and forgot everything and everyone forgive him?`

 

Can a man who`s been stabbed and bleeding profusely really able to drive a car without having an accident?

 

 

Anyway, my notes for Maou :

1.    I hope they will do things differently. It`s always interesting to watch if there`s any cultural different that would lead to different scenes and problems. How would they packed 20 eps of Mawang to 12 eps of Maou? While I didn`t feel Mawang is dragged longer than necessary. I can`t wait <3

 

2.    I cracked at 1^st eps`s scene in the library when Hae In`s gaze was locked to Seung Ha`s slender back figure. Imagine what that Kobayashi girl`s gazing reason looking at Oh-chan, `what a cute little figure there…`

 

3.    I hope Oh-chan can pull the character not as creepy as Seung Ha. Something more natural will be more convincing. But then again, it`s Captain, so… whatever <3

 

4.    My heart won`t be strong enough to see Oh-chan and Toma got killed like that. Just…not…

 

5.    Where`s my Oh-chan`s angsty solo song?!!

 

6.    Oh, it`s not Maou, but I really really liked Kang Oh Soo`s actor`s act best <3333

i-i'll comment later when i'm more coherent because i just watched a Maou special with lots of spoilers for episode1. and damn does it looked similar to Mawang

His name is Uhm Tae Woong. He's up there with Ninomiya Kazunari, Tony Leung, etc., as my top beloved actors. I think Oh Soo can be hated quite easily if not for UTW.

Oh..I also watched Mawang to prepare myself for Maou.

I don't know, some might say that I'm spoiling stuff, or that I'd have so much expectations or I wouldn't like the Japanese version much if I watched the Korean version. But whatever, since I've never been affected by spoilers, I think that wouldn't make much change. Especially since I think I'd be watching Maou later coz I'll be back to the crappy Indonesian internet connection in one month *sigh*.

But then notes on your notes..
First, my favorite act is Seung Ha. Well, it's Joo Ji Hoon, and I'm sorry...I'm just shallow like that (>.<).

Second, oh how I was distracted through all of the episodes. Because every time I watch it, in almost every scene, my mind went "I want to know how Oh-chan gonna act this out". You know how they show a lot of scene where Seung Ha drive his car?? I cracked thinking how I'd love to see Oh-chan driving *knowing that he doesn't*

This is one those dramas that made me think long after I'm done watching it. I always love mind-stimulating stuffs like these.

And I love how my heart was torn apart, trying to choose whether I like Oh Seung Ha or Kang Oh Soo better. Both of them seems to get better playing their respective roles as the drama progresses. Although a part of me might think that "Ji Hoon is so much better-looking, so even if he didnt act well, I'll still like him...", but I can really emphatize with his role, and not dismissing his acting skills. The way that his expression changes, makes you love him and hate him at the same time, that tells a lot.

Uhm Tae Woong is really a sweetheart, and omg, in the beginning I was asking myself the reasons why I would want to forgive his 'past crime', coz every single recollection of memories during the incident showed that he was guilty. And then he had 'that dream' that showed what actually happened. I just immediately felt like crying and I kept on feeling so sad whenever he starts looking back and started blaming himself. I kept on hoping that Seung Ha will eventually finds the truth. The ending is so sad yet beautiful when they both acknowledged each others' pain and suffering. I guess in a way, it was perfect as it is. 

But the key person here is Hae In, I just adored her. I loved her being with either one of them, it's always interesting. She had the wit to say what's on her mind, and yet I don't feel that she's overly aggressive. She is like the sanctuary for the 2 main characters, and looking from how much love she gets in her own home made me understand why she's so positive abt almost everything.

I believe, although Mawang and Maou is based on the same storyline, but like you, I'm looking forward to see the cultural differences. and then since Maou will be shorter, I guess they will insert original scenes in order to accelerate the pace. I mean, Ohno even has a dark room and he's so angsty-looking! I don't think Oh Seung Ha was THAT intense when he's home, he did yoga, shower and open the musical box while crying alone in the dark. Dang it, they're showing so much spoilers that I thought nothing is left to be watched this Friday, but there might be more surprises for us *shivers*

LOL, I wd've cracked up at every single part while watching Mawang if it wasnt too serious XD. Yeah, there was so much driving scenes in there. I was thinking they might have to change most scenes with them riding on trains XD. I did see Toma's driving in one of the digests though.

but where's that girl's mom? I hope to see Ohno doing sign languages.

Uhm Tae Woong... He`s definitely something. I would easily forgive Seung Ha for everything if Kang Soo didn`t show so much pain.

One of my fav scene is when Kang Soo faced his father`s dead body. I can feel the pain myself.

Joo Ji Hoon helped a lot. It`ll be hard to pity Seung Ha if he`s not tormented like that. I just got blinded by Uhm Tae Woong more.

I`m so touched when Hae In decided she would stick on supporting Seung Ha and wait for him.

Hae In was like, the most innocent being throughout the show. That`s why I`m so sad when in the end she must suffered the most.

I`m so so curious of Maou right now!

And we know we wouldn`t mind if Oh-chan is given that shower scene ;p

But, I can`t guess which character Nino will be? No one from the 1st eps that I can think of.

SHOWER SCENE!!! yes. i think i saw a glimpes of his silhouate (i dunno hw 2 spell)... towelling his hair or something in one of the spoilerish previews. but that's just might be my hentai mind working overdrive. BUT YES PLEASE SHOWER. did you know he practices his expressions buck naked after shower. YES HE DOES |DDDDDb. and said it so on national teribi♥

oh Hae In.. she is just so perfect. a human sanctuary. Kobayashi have a huge pair of shoes to fill.

Nino will be playing the son of the defence lawyer that got killed (the first victim). his role is very important i have to say... and nino-chan cleverly slip in hints here and there because oh gawd i think he'll be appearing again...

Seriously, I would spazz on Hae In more if anyone throws the bait XD. I think it's really hard to play a character who stole the attention of 2 'very hot' main male character, and not be killed by rabid fangirls. But based on the reviews I've read, I think most ppl would agree with me that it's easy to see how they both could fall for her. It's inevitable.

I cracked up on that "Seung Ha no kissing Hae In even though he had 20 eps" comment. That's really one of the most surprising thing, coz I wd have expected that from a Korean drama. However, I do truly feel that this relationship they had, it's too beautiful that it doesn't really need any additional romantic scenes to convey it. The 'first official date' that they have, can't help smiling all the way thru. Whenever they touched hands, it's like, "omg, touching hands with someone who has psychometric ability! it's like making love and so much more!" (yeah, I'm THE weird). So heart-wrenching to see her cry after the date though, while Seung Ha was grinning at home (First time I saw his place that bright >_<)

Uhm Tae Woong's acting made me see pass thru his craters *ehem*. and then I saw his clip singing the OST during a fan-meeting, and he just sky-rocketed in my heart ^^. He's like sweet kiddie, and it's hard not to feel his anguish and regret.

Ji Hoon, he's hawt. and then while watching that, I just realized that one of my directors looks exactly like him! So it's a bit scary having to face my boss the whole time I was watching Mawang. It was fun, going home, thinking that I have some more eps to watch. First time in my life that the length of Korean drama didnt bother me.

Yeah, shower scene for Maou pls XD (yeah, I saw somebody showering in one of the previews XDDD). Just because I bet most fans want to see that *coughs*. oh, he can swim and do yoga too, and if he drives, that pretty much fulfills half of my wish haha!

As for Nino's role, I bet aishoni did the honor of explaining it just now (I just had to give it to her XD). Nino has been hinting everywhere, gawd, you know when he says sumthing, it is most likely not mere gibberish talk. so I guess we can see one of the other members playing the role of the convenience store guy?

I thought by watching Mawang, Maou wdn't be such a huge mystery for me. But I was wrong, it got me more curious too, just like you ^^;

The face expressions' practise in nude, he said that on TV, and even in magz interviews. XD How appropriate.

All the best to Kobayashi, I love her outfits btw. and I think  although it almost impossible to expect that she will be in the exact mould of Hae In, but I believe she's going to re-define the character. I hope that her watching the original will give out the best results ^^. The way that the promotions being done, i bet not a lot of ppl knew that she's the key-person. Gambatte ne, Shiori-chan!

i have lots of favourite scenes with him in it. he's really good at playing tormented charasmatic characters.

the drunken yet brilliant smile he gave to seung ha was heartbreaking

and i teared up at the scene of him confronting his brother. owh heck.. my heart shattered watching every scene of him in pain. gosh i love his interpretation of the character.

i want to se Naruse actively "hunting" for Shiori.. oh i so want to see that. i like the light flirting action between Seung Ha & Hae In so so much♥

*tickles* oi oi oi~ pls dont turn on my "obbsessively over-protective" switch (as if I had one,haha). but day'm, they both look so good together^^. and did u see how Naruse smiles whenever he's with Shiori? At least that'll be a good reason to love the girl (the previews seems to focus a lot on Naruse's 'dark side', ne?)The smiles will be treasured when I see 'em. I wd love to see the 'teasing' between those 2, if there's any ^^
