I can't believe how much I'm into this dorama. Even more than Hanadan (Jun rocks, but this one comes straight into my heart). Liking it somehow made me realized that I am an adult. Me 2-3 years ago can only be moved by something like Stand Up.
It turns out that in my friend's dormitory (other university), the boys used to watch Haikei together in Thursday Night. It's a small homely dormitory, so I can imagine how warm and cozy it is to watch Haikei together in the livingroom with your fellows.
In Haikei, all the things that matter are the smallest things. The way Ippei smiled after Ritsuko-san said "I'm sorry". The way he hold his tears hearing about Ryuji-san. The way Yumeko-san and Ritsuko-san behaviour reflected all the clashes in this world. The way Yukino-chan look at Ippei in the restaurant that I can almost heard her voice rang in my ears, "I love you. I love you so much. You're the best thing ever happened in my life. What have I done till I deserve you?"
It's the most natural dorama I've ever seen in years, maybe since Beach Boys (geez, I'm already that old?).
Next week Tokio will kick some butt, so I'm looking forward to it. To be honest, at first, Yoko's act got on my nerves, but now I thought, maybe it's exactly the way it supposed to be. And I perfectly understand Eri now (I know, my brain's kinda slow). She's seen Ippei since forever. Of course she would fall for him. I believe Eri feels it was something natural. Probably, if Ippei never falls in love, I can see him marry Eri in the end. That's why I don't like the problem that eventually surrounds this area.
I love watching this in the early morning (because that's when the download usually ends) and watching Ippei, laughing to myself, crying to myself but simply just enjoying the whole drama.
Though I'm a bit worried that it's episode 6 now and whether they will finish the back-story about the fate of Sakashita in time because I really don't want the ending to be rushed.
Hmmm what did Yukino tell Ippei at the end in the restaurant? He was on the verge of tears so I know it wasn't good news about his father since he couldn't compose the letter in his mind anymore "Haikei... Haikei..."
And then you see in the black & white picture that he was praying... did his father you-know?

i love watching it as well. i was kinda surprised coz i thought it will be boring to me but it wasnt. it's really witty and for some reason it also gives me a kind of warm feeling when im watching it. and of course Nino's acting (and the rest of the cast) makes it more interesting.

It's not about his father. It's about Ryuji-san. Sakashita will be demolished sooner or later, and Ryuji-san had said he won't involve in the new Sakashita. Ippei finally felt this does come to an end. And we know how much he loves and honors Ryuji-san. I think Ippei thinks of Ryuji-san as his 'base', so maybe he felt like losing himself.
