what do they think bout Nino?

I am waiting for a special class, but I've found something that makes my day.

After read tokki's post about nino as an actor in H magazine november, I looked for it in nearby conbini but I couldn't found it. sakki I've just take a walk and all this time I could find it in my UNIVERSITY BOOKSTORE!! how stupid...

apart from the article, it has little questionnaire about how arashi members think bout nino. I only have one hour before my class begin so sorry if I translate it wrong since I'm in a hurry (yeah right, just say you don't have enough ability).

I'll make it per-question (sorry for taking so long, I got sick yesterday):

 

1. which of nino's play you liked most? 

Aiba : there's kanji I couldn't read, I'll get back to this tomorrow.

Captain : play (in stage), again I can't read kanji. it's something bout James Dean. because nino don't look like nino.

Sho : Ao no Honoo, the scene when he hold the bat and moving towards the step father. that kind of face would be remembered.

Jun : Stand Up! I like comical character like that. and he also imitating our manager back then, so it's funny.

2. what is the most attractive thing about nino as an actor?

 Aiba : I can't call it sensitivity...his way of accept something is...sharp...or...rich. something I felt even not in plays.

Captain: his ordinary/usual part.

Sho : he has both naturalness and deepness.

Jun : he said "hakanasa" which have many meaning, like something vain and uncertain and short-lived.

3. if you are a producer, what kind of role would you want nino in?

Aiba : a fantasy would be great, right? (typical aiba) even if the role is not human, I think he can handle it.

Captain : a very high tension role

Sho : someone who goes insane. Surely he can do it alright, but I've never seen it before so I want to see it.

Jun : dame-dame na yaku ( I'll ask my japanese friend what is it )

4. teach us about nino's charm and weak point!

Aiba : his hands! we talk about it today. his hand is like hamburger! (anou, aiba...since when people have hamburger-like hands?)

captain : his hands. they're round and cute. (ok, I'll see his hands closer next time)

Sho : sabishigariya (can't stand to be alone), but actually he can be alone as well. and it's hard for him to tell his true feelings.

Jun : small and cute hands. his fingers are short and cute. but...a bit like hamburger.

5. what is it that you don't have and nino has it, therefore makes you jealous?

aiba : his tension. he has a very large range of tension, from very low to very high. it means he can see things both in low and high tension. (someone please help me understand this)

captain : he can spin his head really fast. (I probably translate it wrong, probably he meant nino can think very fast)

sho : he can look to people's inner side. he understand others very fast.

jun : very fast to change his mode. sometimes just before shooting he plays games. I can't do that.

6. which part of nino you want him to correct/change?

 aiba : he always want to see manga that people are reading. though he knows I'm reading it, he always say "lend me!lend me!" like an elementary school boy.

captain : an important part, touching people's butt.

sho : always plays with ohno. It's fun so I love to see them doing it, but what would other people think seeing them doing that...I kinda scared. anyway, it's omoshiroi. *cough* jealous * cough*

jun : I used to get irritated seeing him playing games (like just before work or smth), but now it's alright.

7. which part of nino changed the most since debut until now?

 aiba : I'm always with him so even if there's anything change...ah, he eats outside a lot (not in home)...(aiba...)

captain : basically, nothing change.

sho : he can let out his poisonous side in TV. like really sharp comments.

jun : among us, I think he's the one who doesn't change much.

8. if nino is a color, what color would he be? and why?

aiba : blue? he wears blue a lot in Juniors time, I couldn't take that off my mind.

captain : yellow. he wears yellow a lot (in concert).

sho : the color of water. beautiful but has some hakanasa (vain, uncertainty, something that would dissappear quickly). it's a part of him that can be seen if you listen to the songs he wrote.

jun : I can't think of any...I thought about this question for one whole day but nothing comes to my mind.

and also there's a bit of comment from Kiiroi Namida's director about Nino:

Ninomiya's act is very natural, the way he get in to the character smoothly, without much trouble he would like "so here, I (nino's char) would think like this, right?",  it's not something everybody could do.

personally, from the very first time I had decided to put Ninomiya as main character, because he fit to be the pillar of the story, I couldn't think of anybody but him.

I think he's also the pillar in Arashi. Ninomiya seems to love Arashi a lot. there's time when we talk about Aiba and Ohno, and that time Ninomiya look so happy. Now I kinda understand how much Ninomiya love Arashi.

haa...I want to have that kind of friends too. I've already had some but we're so far apart now.

to be able to look happy only by talking about them...I wish I could see his happy face too.

 

anyway, last Monday night I saw Arashi no Shukudai kun and it turns out that our boys is just...boys...

if I'm not mistaken, they were talking about growth, nino said in his junior school day, one of his friend suddenly fall when walking like hurting his legs and said " It hurts, it hurts, I'm growing"

and then the guest said it's breast for woman which apparently our boys had some interest in it.

Oh-chan : when do they start to grow? how?

Nino : I used to think about it, if you always sleep in certain position, won't it be unbalance to one side, what would happened to the size then? is it the same?

Aiba : when do you start to wear bra?

so it goes, the "I don't want to talk about this in television" Sho-kun tries his best to stop, " can we stop it?" "don't say that you two (ohno and aiba)" " why won't you two take over from now."

they're just usual baka boys.

not to be expected from such a skinny guy who's also very good at playing the piano & guitar. he use to hate coz it makes it hard for him to play some guitar chords properly but now he says its kinda cute.

wow, 3 out of 4 said nino's got hamburger hands. I will stare at nino's hand in intimate detail now.

I love Sho's comments the most because he reveals a lot more whereas the others all comment like off-their-heads and it's not surprising because Sho is very close to Kachang eeeto... Nino (hehe I call him Kachang) from the beginning.

I think the butai that Ohno was talking about is "Rebel Without A Cause".

thank you for this wonderful translation of the boys talking abt my ichiban, nino ^^. reading it made me love sho even more, tho, for sounding like a loving, protective, proud older brother to nino. i laughed out loud at the comments about nino's hands (poor baby runt ^_^). nino's ability to play before work seems to be a constant thorn in jun's side...looks like sibling rivalry among the 2 babies there.

thanx also for the plug on shukudaikun. like you, i love the show, but i don't understand japanese so it's always a struggle to find translations to what i'm very sure are fantastic crack conversations! ;P

i love the way sho answered the question. it really shows how he cared. the part that he describes Nino's colour is just wonderful & him getting *coughjealouscough*  awkward  with touchytouchy omiyaSK is just too cute.

Thanks for the translation of the members thoughts on Nino~  I didn't even know such a part exists!!

I always love to read about what the members think of each other, not only we get to learn more about Arashi through the eyes of its own member, but you can also read the different characters of each member by how the answers are given!!

Reading sho's answer reminds me of the 04 Con backstage clips…how sho took care of Nino when he's not feeling so well, I really feel that Sho is a big brother (or big mama) to Nino ne~
